When did AMP and AXA merge?
AMP and AXA merged at the end of March 2011.
I have an AXA branded product – why is the branding of my product changing?
As part of the agreement with AXA SA (AXA’s parent company in France), AMP have a contractual obligation to cease using the AXA brand in the Australian and NZ markets by March 2013. This means they must remove the AXA branding, including the name AXA in products or materials that bear the AXA name or logo.
What product branding is changing?
Most product branding is not changing. Only those products that have the AXA name or logo will change, in most cases to AMP. There are no changes to your policy number or the features of the product.
Your next renewal or statement will be on AMP documentation and will reflect any changes to product names.
When will product branding be changing?
Most product branding will change on 12 November.
Does this change my policy/member number or who I contact?
No. Your policy/member number does not change and you still contact AMP in the same way you always have.
Does my adviser change?
No. There are no changes to your adviser or the way you contact them.
Will I still receive my statements at the same time each year?
Yes, your statements will be provided at the same time you normally receive them. However, from 12 November your statement and any other information will be AMP branded.
Does this affect my policy at all?
No. There are no changes to your policy. The rebranding only changes the product branding, which, in most cases, will change from AXA to AMP.
Does this change the terms of my insurance policy?
No. There are no changes to the terms of your insurance policy. The rebranding only changes the product branding, which, in most cases, will change from AXA to AMP.
